"Honey, you're too sweet for rock 'n roll."
I live a fast-paced life but I'm learning to slow down and enjoy the little things. I'm a sucker for golden hour drives during the summer. Windows down, good music playing...You get the vibe. I'm a free spirit with an old soul. I'm a wallflower and a daydreamer. Somewhere between a hippie and an emo kid. I'm the type of person who never loses a hair tie, always carries a pen and paper, and finds comfort in the bass lines and drum beats of 70s rock songs. I was born a week late and ever since I've been the kind of gal who blooms on her own time. Put me in the studio, pit at a show, or a green room and you'll find me at my happiest.
My favorite movie (Almost Famous) recommends listening to "Tommy" with a candle burning to see your future. For me, it was hearing "Baba O'Riley" while driving towards the Cleveland skyline at night. On February 16, 2003, my dad was driving my best friend and I to see Sum 41 at The Agora. As we made our way around the bend, the skyline hit as Pete Townshend cried out, "It's only teenage wasteland." I didn't know then what it would mean now, but I've carried that moment since that night and I believe it led me to where I am today.
Since my biggest inspiration comes from music, I’ve created the “soundtrack” to Little Blackbird. These are some of my favorite songs to get me pumped up for whatever work I’m about to produce. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Just hit shuffle and happy listening!
